What goes into the price?
- Material
- How much filament the part uses, by weight, and which material. PETG and specialty filaments cost more than PLA.
- Print time
- A small clip prints in minutes, a large solid part can take most of a day. Machine time is the biggest cost on bigger parts.
- Design work
- Nothing if you supply a ready file. If a part has to be measured and modelled, the design time is quoted separately.
- Finishing
- Removing supports and tidying edges is included. Extra finishing is quoted if you ask for it.
- Delivery
- Australia Post to anywhere in Australia, priced by size and weight, or free collection in Quinns Rocks by arrangement.
Why is design quoted separately?
Printing a file someone else has designed is mostly machine time. Drawing up a part from a photo is skilled work, and it is the same amount of work whether you then want one copy or ten. Splitting the two keeps the price fair either way, and means you can buy just the design file if you have your own printer.
Is it cheaper to print more than one?
Usually, per part. Several copies can share a print run, and the design and setup are only paid for once.
How do I pay?
Once you accept your quote, you get a secure payment link from Stripe. Pay by card, or spread the cost with Afterpay, Klarna or Zip. Each of those has its own approval and limits, and the payment page shows the ones open to you.
How do I get a price?
Use the form below. A photo or file, rough dimensions, how many you need, and when you need it are enough for a quote. If something is unclear, you will get a question back rather than a guess.
